Matt Pelletier | Ladies & Gentlemen

Matt Pelletier is a native of Hamilton Ontario. He lives in the North end and walks the same streets that four generations of his family have. He has studied at Sheridan College and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Matt spends his time making paintings, drawing, sculptures, illustrations, zines, music, writing, and when he isn’t doing these things he is collecting books.

If you haven’t yet checked out Bryce Huffman’s new mural in McLaren Park, it’s another great addition to Hamilton’s downtown art environment. On Friday’s Art Crawl, take a small detour to McLaren Park at Cannon and John Streets. I would encourage you to check it out. It is another interesting contribution to our evolving downtown public space.

I have a new piece that is part of the Tivoli "Off the Wall" project on the Tivoli Theatre building. I’m going to keep working on it during future Tivoli events. It is based on my "Stelco Hamilton" sketch I first made in 2010. Eventually I hope to evolve it into a new version of the original painting.

Lots to see and do this Art Crawl. Look forward to seeing old friends and new faces up here Friday.
